Yesteryear Collection

This pick-up was based on the chassis of the Model 'A' car and was powered by a 4 cylinder engine of 2033cc. Often van bodies were built on a car chassis suitably adapted to carry the extra weight by the local coach builder there by creating considerable variety in the apperance of these vehicles.

Ford built in England in Dagenham from 1930 on the basis of the American-developed model A cars and vans that were given the name Ford model A and AA. In America, the production of the Ford model A had already started in 1928 and turned out to be a huge success.

The (Y35-1) 1930 Ford Model A Pick-up Truck joined the range in 1990.
It used all of the parts from the (Y7-4) Ford model A Breakdown truck with the exception of the crane. A new loadbed floor was cast which included the open tailgate door in the casting and it was loaded with five milk churns.
The baseplate was modified by the deletion of Y7 which was replaced with the Y35 designation.
